My College Daily Routine

Every semester, I have a different daily routine in college. But college itself has a completely different culture of scheduling your time than high school or other times of life.
With the extra free time since classes only last for a total of about three hours per day, we can find ourselves with a plethora of options to fill our schedules.
After getting involved with many organizations freshman year, my daily routine has included meetings, group projects, hanging out with friends, doing homework and getting ahead for other projects. College routines can also include work if you have an on-campus job or an internship close to campus. This semester, I luckily only focus on things on campus including my classes and my organizations. Here’s what a day-in-the-life looks like for me:
Morning routine: I wake up around 8-9am everyday, depending on if I have to do work or study in the morning. I start the day checking my phone, reading The Skimm and going through emails. (Not a healthy way to start the day, but it has become routine!) I then eat my breakfast and get ready. Lately, I have been having oatmeal with cinnamon, honey, shredded coconut and bananas on top for breakfast. Then, I would make tea or have some water to finish getting ready for the day.
Classes: On Mondays, Wednesdays and  Fridays, my only class is at 12:15pm. On those days, I usually do work until then, go to class and eat lunch afterwards. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have class at 10:30am until noon, when I will eat lunch, and then I have another class from 2:20-4pm.
Afternoons: I usually work on homework or have random meetings in the afternoons. I sometimes get work done for yearbook in the office or have meetings for my class projects.
Evenings: Every night, I usually have at least one meeting for one of the organizations I’m a part of: an on-campus communications agency, yearbook, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship or Sigma Alpha Omega®. Or I would meet for a group project for class. Depending on the day, I would grab dinner on campus or I will go back to my apartment to cook a quick meal. On Thursdays, I usually like to catch a Zumba class or another group exercise class, too.
Night routine: Just like the evenings and afternoons, my night routine is something different everyday. I usually finish up on homework, take a shower and catch up with my roommates. I don’t have a specific night routine, but I love using this time to check social media, watch some YouTube videos or catch up on some TV shows or read. Then,  I usually go to bed around 12:30. I’m actually looking to spice up my night routine and get away from my phone and social media, so if any of you have tips, feel free to let me know!
